November 10th, NIBIO held its 8th Open Day.
We organized “Let’s make DNA straps” and more than 80 people came to our Laboratory.
Making DNA straps is a plan to feel familiar with the structure of DNA.
Although this strap looks quite cute, it’s difficult to finish up.
We thought it’s too difficult for small children to make it, however, most of them can demonstrate high concentration and be completed! How wonderful is the power of them!
I gave a small lecture in there to explain the research on DNA.
I was impressed that visitors chatted up DNA pleasantly.
We had a great time with visitors.
We will apply that we has learned to the future.
Thank you for coming Open day! (Maori)
