NAME Sstruc - define trosions and secondary structure for a protein SYNOPSIS sstruc -options file DESCRIPTION Sstruc is a program to read in a Brookhaven format file and to calculate torsions and seocondary structure assignments. It was originally written by David Smith as a replacment for the DSSP program of Kabsch and Sander. It is recommended that you preprocess files with pdb2atm before use. There are two options -f This option tells the program to process the mainchain and sidechain data. This results in a much more voluminous output -s Just give data for the mainchain data. This includes all the data necessary to run joy. The -s and -f options are thus mutually exclusive. For further documentation see the SSTRUC manual written by David Smith. SEE ALSO pdbseq(1), joy(1). RELEASE LEVEL This document describes sstruc version 1.0 and later, as ported by jpo to UNIX.
